  • Stop networking – Make friends instead

    If there is one word that makes most career changers and budding entrepreneurs get uncomfortable it’s “Networking.” And you know what, I can totally understand why! It has such an “eek” factor attached to it and instantly makes you think of a room full of desperate people literally stabbing you with their business card.

    When I changed career back in 2005 and started my own company, I remember attending a couple of networking meetings, but quickly realizing that wasn’t my cuppa tea…And I’m an extreme extrovert who loves connecting with new people. But you know what – Whether you are an extrovert or not – What matters is what kind of people you meet AND whether you actually truly want to connect with them or not!
